I Haven’t posted in a while, I was reading Isaiah 6 (passage can be found below) and wanted to share.
In this passage Isaiah sees the Lord. He also sees and hears the angels calling out to each other “Holy, holy, holy!” The praise of the angels shook the temple and the building was filled with smoke.
Isaiah became afraid and started to look at himself and say “I’m in trouble, I’m a sinful man, I am around sinful people, I’m not worthy, I can’t measure up to God’s expectation of praise. It is over for me now because I have seen the Lord.”
After this happened the angel flew past him with a coal that was on the altar, touched his lips with it and said “this coal has touched you lips and your guilt is removed, your sins are forgiven.”
I found it interesting that we as Christians or even people who aren’t Christians act the same way present day! We can be in a service with high praise, or in an atmosphere where you can really FEEL the presence of God; yet because we have deemed ourselves unworthy we forfeit the real blessing! God never said to Isaiah “yup, you’re right it’s a wrap for you now!” Instead he cleansed him. That’s what happens when you get into God’s presence. He doesn’t draw you to condemn you, he draws you to be near to him. Once you’re near to him he takes care of the rest. He’ll cleanse you, teach you, forgive you, LOVE you!
After Isaiah had been cleansed and forgiven…there was NO mention of his past. God never said “remember that one time?” or “you were a mess and I had to clean you up.” God said ” Whom shall I send…” and because Isaiah was renewed by God’s presence he was free to say “Here I am, Send me, I’ll go.” God replied “Yes, Go and say…”
So. When God is drawing you to his presence, and you’re feeling unworthy…GO ANYWAY!!! There’s something there for you. He Loves you and he wants to use you!!! Don’t allow what your thoughts or anyone has to say deter you from running to God.

It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke. Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.” Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people, ‘Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’ (Isaiah 6:1-9 NLT)
