Band-Aid

We’re God’s children. Like most kids, sometimes we get scratches and scrapes, open wounds from “being outside playing.” I was praying today and I said “Lord, thank you for covering me.” I got a picture in my head of a person with open cuts and hands covering them with a sheet so that the wounds wouldn’t be exposed. When wounds are exposed they can become infected…dirt can get into it. It’s recommended to cover the area with a clean cloth to make sure that nothing can interfere with healing. When you’re hurt…find that place in God where he can be your father cleaning and covering your wounds. There’s also grace that comes along with doing this…people can’t see the most vulnerable, ugly scars and scrapes because they’re covered in the most intimate places of prayer and private worship. Grace covers vulnerable areas. When someone goes to touch it grace keeps you from screaming out or acting out in pain.
